Developmental psychology studies the comprehensive development of humans from birth to adulthood, emphasizing the constant cooperation of heredity and environment in shaping individual characteristics. Infants enter the world with ready senses and the ability to learn, and gradually, through different stages, they develop their intellectual abilities to understand complex concepts and solve problems. In addition to mental development, concepts such as emotional attachment to caregivers and the formation of temperamental characteristics form the basis of a person's personality and social skills in the future. Also, the ability to make moral judgments and understand that others have different thoughts, beliefs, and feelings develops during childhood. Finally, adolescence is characterized by rapid biological changes resulting from puberty and the effort to find a stable and independent identity that prepares the individual to face the responsibilities of adult life.
